No, we focus on building new and remodeling commercial, institutional, healthcare, historic, and religious projects.

How does WCC get selected for a project?
We obtain projects by competitive open bids, select bid lists, and negotiation with owners. Many of our projects are referrals from owners and architects from previous projects.

What is WCC’s geographic range of performance?
WCC is licensed in the following states: Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Louisiana and Kentucky.
We have performed past projects from Virginia to Texas. We are a GSA-preferred contractor in multiple states.

Who will be my contact on a new job?
Each job has a project manager that will be a principal of WCC, a superintendent, and a contract administrator. We have an experienced team of construction professionals that are ready to serve you on your next project.

Yes, WCC enjoys a preferred bonding rate with Liberty Mutual, and are fully insured with worker’s compensation and general liability insurance.

What is your company history?
WCC was started in 1976 by J. Edward Witherington as a commercial contractor and developer. We have transitioned to be a general contractor only expanding our project types to commercial, institutional, healthcare, historic, and religious projects. As a family owned contractor our #1 goal is to build quality projects that produce satisfied customers. Many of our projects are repeat business from these customer relationships.
